Mick
Mick was brought up in a strict religious family and began using drugs at the age of 15. He turned his back on religion, and soon became involved in a wild lifestyle, addiction, and the occult. One day, 25 years on the Lord stopped him at 3am on his way home from a rave. He pulled the car he was driving over to the side of the road and began to panic. Mick's friends who were also in the car thought it was funny that Mick didn't know where he was. After about 5 minutes his memory returned and they were able to go on their way. A few weeks later the same thing happened, at the same place outside a small church in the town where he lived.
Mick and his partner ended up going to the church one Sunday morning out of boredom and it was to change their lives forever.
After meeting the people there, Mick realised that they had something that he needed in his life. Later that afternoon, he went to a quiet place alone and asked God if He was real to give him proof. He opened a bible and one verse spoke to him : 2 Corinthians 3 v 17 : "Now God is a Spirit, and where the Spirit is there is freedom"
Mick prayed that God would release him from his addictions, and replace them with His Spirit, and the Lord did just that ! As the days went on, Mick realised that all his cravings had gone, even for crack cocaine, and they had been replaced with a feeling of peace and joy that he had never experienced before.
Now, several years on Mick has committed his life to his Lord and Saviour, to minister to anyone out there in need. The Lord brought him to the Knights, and this has opened up doors both for fellowship, prayer and opportunity in the very specific field of motorcycle ministry. He has the support of his Pastor, church and partner in the ministry, and hopes to bring many souls into the Kingdom in the future.
